Shooting elephants and free speech | GoDaddy Loves SOPA

I was unaware until yesterday that GoDaddy was an avid supporter of SOPA. Yes, I called in to notify them that I would be transferring several domains because of it, but forgot to mention the elephant. Thinking about it, elephants and the internet have some things in common; they are both endangered to some extent, they are both relatively free, and most good people respect and value them. It seems GoDaddy doesn’t, or at least didn’t until thousands of customers threatened to boycott them.

You’ve got to wonder about anyone who doesn’t mind pissing off millions of people and elephants too — or at least think twice about registering with them.

Merry Monsanto | Military Industrial Agriculture

Today I read an article on slashdot titled “New Study Confirms Safety of GM Crops“. Before you navigate away from this article, please be assured they were not citing the National Enquirer. The study was conducted in France, with assistance from the usual suspects (British universities, biotechnology corporations, etc).

Also involved in the study were rodents — clearly a dietary staple of the French, and biologically (or psychologically?) identical to certain English academics.

The “evidence” cited in the study shows that — at least to monocled marsupials — GM plants are “nutritionally equivalent to their non-GM counterparts and can be safely used in food and feed.” Of course “food and feed” are not exclusive aspects of GM agriculture — or even agriculture — but corporate sponsored research has its own perspective. …Never mind the trace minerals and everything else!

As usual, the slashdot comments were many and the views varied; organic versus conventional, ridicule and support of both, with lots between — all shedding light on people’s views of the subject. Admittedly, geeks may not be the best authority on such topics — often compiled of pizza and soft-drinks — but I fear they do provide an example of popular opinion despite. Many see GM as a noble science, helping to feed the world’s growing population. Some see “organic” anthropocentrically, reducing it to a matter of pesticides, nutrition, and prices. Few seem to have a balanced perspective though.

Conventional versus organic agriculture – or where to begin:

Crop rotation gets little attention, probably due to most consumers having no familiarity with processes behind the supermarkets. Most GM crops are mono-cultures, and are rarely if ever rotated. Mono-cultures reduce biodiversity, having effects far beyond the farm, and unrotated crops stress and deplete the soil. While the terribly important subject of biodiversity is generally ignored in conventional agriculture, soil quality is maintained artificially through mined fertilizers and industrial chemicals. There are quite a few implications for this; the dust-bowl of the US, and creeping deserts of China are but a few. Artificial fertilization requires strip mining, particularly for phosphates, and the effects are harsh. Pollution of watersheds, eutrophication, devastation, and even radiation are effects of phosphate mining.

In 2003, Piney Point phosphate mine threatened to leak a hundred-plus million gallons of contaminated water into Tampa Bay. Instead of allowing it to leak, Jeb Bush authorized it to be dumped into the Gulf of Mexico. I clearly remember suffering perennial red-tide for more than a year after the first incident. In June of 2011, Piney Point threatened to leak again.

Piney Point was officially an “accident”; possibly one less expensive to pay the fines for, than to build a more secure infrastructure. But conventional agriculture is not an accident, and a look at the Mississippi Delta dead-zone illustrates an example of the consequences involved in run-off from fertilization.

We’ve all heard horror stories of cattle threatening to fart our beloved planet into a toxic stink-osphere. …Sure, but what they leave out is that it is not just farts, but mismanagement of the manure which produces much of this dangerous surplus of methane. Instead of properly redistributing the manure to be returned to the soil, it is often stuffed in squalid vats to putrefy without benefit — emitting methane. Could such manure not substitute these mined phosphates to some extent?

The argument that to feed the growing population we must genetically modify our crops and practice industrial agriculture is worth some attention, as it is perhaps the most popular argument supporting the industry. This argument confuses many, and irritates some like myself. One must at a minimum, consider the waste of conventional agriculture, where rather than composting and returning detritus to the soil, it is either burned, trashed, or used for other industrial purposes. Organic agriculture it is not entirely self-sufficient, but it is far more so than its contestant. Between hydroponics and more – but smaller – farms, organic (and perhaps eco-farming) could indeed maintain pace with the demands of our growing population — all while remaining far more symbiotic with ecosystems.

The French study also neglects aspects of what they claim to understand of feed. Bees are critical to agriculture, and certainly are not well hosted by conventional farms. Some studies have suggested that GM corn pollen may weaken the intestinal walls of bees, thus reducing resistance to parasites and other infections.

We know that feeding corn — as opposed to grass — to cattle increases putrefaction due to excessive starches (sugars), further leading farmers to grotesque measures; boring permanent holes into the stomachs of cows to monitor the bacterial cultures that arise from corn diets of GMO-powered starchiness, and the excessive antibiotics which become necessary as result of the intestinal imbalances caused by such diets. In humans, GM soy has been proposed to threaten intestinal flora as well, by transferring corrupted DNA into beneficial flora.

Patent-wars are another issue, and could alone make a strong case against GMOs. Whether through cross-pollination (contamination) or terminator seeds, the patent has been used to harm many farmers and sustain what would otherwise fail under fair and wholesome circumstances. Organic farming claims no ownership of nature; it seeks to work in relative harmony, and cares not to bully fellow farmers. The notorious Monsanto has been a true tyrant in this regard, litigating farmers into bankruptcy, and playing dice with biology. It is no secret that the FDA and Monsanto are close, and that neither exhibit any sincere concern for the health of the masses. They present GM science as the road to a thriving humanity, but their real motives are clearly profit — without regard to humanity’s common interests.

We also need to bring agriculture closer to home, where ever possible. By this I imply less dependence on centralized farming, and more local cooperation. The supermarket shelves can be emptied, but our yards are alive, and our greenhouses belong to us. We should be teaching ourselves the basics of growing what we can in our climates, and becoming less reliant on those who care neither about their own produce, animals, or us. Where this cannot be done, one may try to act supportively instead, whether in words or coins.

What seems objectively obvious to me is that GMOs are understudied, abused, resented by many, and will have to wait in a very long line for any truly conclusive research. Organic agriculture however, is tried and proven — and no one resents its products. I know from experience the differences of that grown on the local farm here in Sarasota, compared to that bought in any grocery store — and they are quite apparent; from the way I feel after enjoying them, to the politics — or lack of — that are involved. I know of no organic farm sporting prison labor, but I can surely name a few conventional farms that do. I don’t want an institution supper, nor do I want corporate mutations in my mouth. The differences are clear, and it’s a shame that they even need be argued — but ’tis our times and tyrants.

There is much, much more to cover on this subject, though I wanted to get this out in time to wish the Activist Post readership (and syndicates) a Merry Christmas for all those who celebrate it, and the kindness of the holiday spirit to everyone, which will hopefully some day no longer be once per year.

Soldiers, Sheep, SMS Walls, & Google Censorship | Volatile Dependencies

On November 17th, 2011, after finding an article in which was embedded a censored Youtube video of US soldiers using an aluminum bat to beat a sheep to death, I decided to edit and restore it.[1]

The first attempted upload failed when Youtube recognized the video and immediately rejected it. To get around this, I padded the video with a brief introduction, modified the audio track, and uploaded successfully. Surprisingly, it endured for nearly a month; in the first week it was flagged and made inaccessible to those not signed in to Youtube, and not until early last week was it removed altogether – along with my entire Youtube account a few days later. The termination notice reads: “This account has been terminated due to repeated or severe violations of our Community Guidelines and/or claims of copyright infringement.” I never received a warning, nor does the description fit the circumstances; truth is not “deceptive content”! And what fiend would dare copyright crime? Images can be see below, but this article is motivated by something else.

Despite the obvious foolishness of it, I use gmail. Also, to help optimize the indexing of my website, I use google-webmaster. All three of these accounts — including Youtube — are the same Google user ID. Attempting to login to gmail yesterday, I encountered the now familiar and annoying SMS wall, but unlike what you may be thinking — where Google’s effort to obtain users’ cellphone numbers can typically be ignored by simply re-routing yourself back to gmail — I could not do so, and still can’t. All three accounts are now blocked by an unbreachable SMS verification wall which states that for my security, my identity must be verified via a phone.

Not having a cellphone, it is impossible to comply with the first option; however, they do peculiarly state that I may use a friend’s instead.[2] The secondary option offers to provide a “verification code” through a “Voice Call”, which at least doesn’t require the futile effort of sending a text message to a home phone. Apparently, criminals don’t use phones — but they do reveal their IP addresses — which is Google’s express excuse for demanding the phone confirmation.[3] There are several oddities here, and I’ll begin with Google’s excuse for the SMS/phone wall. They claim that because I am accessing my account from a “new location”, a “quick verification” is necessary. But I have been using the same IP for two weeks with several other accounts, including the now blocked EccentricIntelligenceAgency@gmail.

To test the validity of their claim, I did the following:

Opened a browser, typed 192.168.1.1, logged into my router, and changed its MAC address. I then reset it, and soon after, the modem assigned it a new IP address. To verify that Google was truly concerned with my accounts being accessed from varying IPs, I then held my breath and proceeded to login to my other gmail accounts which I access daily. Strangely, I accessed them all without any trouble. Going a step further, I signed up for a few new gmail accounts, and noted that they did not force SMS verification for completion. Since then, more than 24 hours has expired and the account remains blocked, leading me to doubt things like temporary security (lock out) measures.

Exactly why this has occurred is known only by Google and those who may (or may not) have influenced their decisions. I do know, that shortly before the (sheep) video was removed, I had some military visits on my website in conjunction with a specific comment on my Youtube channel. An image of the log can be seen below.

I have speculated on possibilities ranging from Pentagon-influenced takedowns, to slimy attempts to obtain a phone ID by which I might be included into a surveillance system. I remain suspicious. Anyone aware of government’s efforts to intrude upon the US citizenry — markedly activists, bloggers, journalists, and unconventional thinkers — wouldn’t sneeze at such possibilities. Anyone familiar with S. 1867 (NDAA) would likely assume as much, or worse.

What is known by many other than myself is that the Pentagon, CIA, and other appendages of the Industrial Psycho Complex are very busy; they have purchased journalists (perhaps even entire networks); they are extremely hostile to transparency; and they are all pretty close friends with Google, who maintain secret relations with the NSA and DoD, and have exceedingly tender sentiments for law enforcement and other authorities. Further consider their offerings of free phone (VOIP) services in the same year IDENT and IAFIS is due to metamorphose into NGI. Does Google want your voice biometrics too?

Google has become a tremendous global force, founded on slogans such as “Don’t be evil” and formerly excellent search results. However, when an independent citizen attempts to confront “evil” — like the mother of Grendel they fiercely protect it. Their actions described in this article highlight some important considerations. While I did go farther than the average Gooogle-user by uploading controversial content previously censored by Google, the information was legitimate, and important in understanding the darker sides of trillion dollar military budgets and dubious occupations. We can rent war movies on Youtube and watch all varieties of horrid things, but the truth is forbidden — all in a time when ignorance is more fatal than ever before.

I have three accounts associated with the specific user ID now blocked — accounts which I have developed dependencies on. While I could easily cower and comply by phone, I prefer to instead use this opportunity to inform others of what Google really stands for, and to alert them of the dangers in developing reliance upon something so fickle and treacherous. Many people site as good will, Google’s refusal to comply with law enforcement requests to censor videos of police-brutality, and their “transparency report” which displays the number of requests for user-information by law enforcement. But too few ever pause to consider how many requests go undisplayed due to “extremism” or “terrorism” as pretext for such requests — such cases that would surely remain secret.

Youtube has essentially monopolized the free video arena. Alternatives are now necessary for unhindered distribution of information and media. Please recognize this, and forbid the flow of vital information and self expression from capitulating to corporate/military forces. The mind is our last frontier; it is a frontier which is contested by invaders, and one which we must either defend or surrender.[4] If you think you’re getting the whole picture, think again; you’re not even close. Censorship is the ultimate cloaca of corruption.

Patented Paranoia – DHS Plays Soccer

Read on Activist Post

While reading a recent DHS announcement revealing a new partnership with Major League Soccer, I saw something. That something was a trademark (™) following every instance of their notorious and unfortunately familiar slogan “If You See Something, Say Something™”. And yes, I have some things to say about it.

Credit should be given where credit is due, and soccer-moms and sports-fans certainly deserve recognition for their outstanding skills in counter-terrorism. With domestic PhDs in soap operas, sitcoms and mass-media, and secondary majors in Hollywood and microwave cooking, they are prepared to defend the United States. Their tools are not rusty pitchforks, but are energy bars, bottled water, and smart-phones.

Readily compartmentalized by decades of fantasy films and neuromarketing, they are loyal to no one but themselves; the ultimate suburban warriors ready to turn-in friend or foe for suspicious behavior. They’ve been briefed by experts in the field which have given them descriptions so ambiguous that none but the most mundane of government sponsored activities will go unnoticed by them. Suspicion is their rifle; they point it at each other, and anything unique will result in them saying something.

A slippery slope:
Soccer-moms will screech united in frenzy, while between hypnotic piety to steroidal champions chasing pigskin pillows, choirs of subordinate male disciples will bellow through yeasty jowls and potted bellies the war-cry of patented patriotism. No, they’ll need not even reach for the smart-phone; a mental acuity threshold censor will self-activate their propaganda helmet and wirelessly alert the smart-grid. On 24/7 standby, DHS street-lamps will spray the area with airborne aspartame nano-aerosol cannons to eliminate any threat of intelligence.

Safety came with a price; the ominous scent of corndogs, mustard, beer and sweat, and the white noise of a single standardized conversation remixed by the millions who render it through their own delusions of individuality. The games end, but the show goes on.

The child’s bedtime prayer begs of the capstone-eye that their debts remain never nearer than their great-grandchildren’s indentured servitude, and their foster-borgs pat their little heads consoling them that they did the right thing by turning-in their parents for discussing Ron Paul. They clutch their TSA teddy bears as they fall asleep, awakening to the Pentagon symphony broadcast universally throughout every residential neighborhood. Black helicopters churn the chemtrails above. Everyone smiles. A poet is Tased by a vigilante child for stopping to take a note. A mother’s helmet alerts the smart-grid as she observes a girl staring at a flower, and she is pepper-sprayed to remind her of the evils of botany. “Wonderful weather” says an agent as he passes an old man who asks in response “is it even real?” and is taken away for a lobotomy. Everyone smiles. The cleansing is happening. Victory soon. The terrorists will be destroyed. A neon sanctuary for vigilant pests, where not even a pet dare pause to ponder.

Not exactly, but stupidly close. And if it was only soccer, or even sports in general which were being targeted by DHS psy-fi propaganda, nausea would still be imminent. But it is every facet of life which Lord Napolitano & Kin seek to infest, from your cooking habits – to your inner thoughts.

I’m sure our collective curiosity is overheating the FAST machines as we wonder if we can survive the dangers of turkey-frying, shopping, and soccer.

Now don’t think a case is being made against soccer here; but how fair will the games be if our intentions are all anticipated in advance? And hold on a minute here! Anyone want to do the math on sports injury statistics? We all know a far greater number of critical injuries have occurred in sports than in the entire domestic terror theater. But maybe someone should send in the numbers to Janet & Kin? Are any writers of children’s books reading this?

Spend-thrifting our liberties to catch airline passengers who without the TSA might have set their underpants alight, preventing model airplanes from doing what jumbo jets cannot, catching anomalous Hispanic Jihad terrorists plotting matchstick and pipe mayhem, censoring the internet, selling weapons to drug lords, harassing their own employees, forever hunting manufacturing lone wolves, and preying on our fellow citizen’s ignorance; what more will they do?

Maybe we should reevaluate our priorities. All this confusion and subterfuge for the sake of a few mangy wolves, and meanwhile our sports heroes are being maimed for our selfish entertainment. Should we protect the little that remains of our liberties and that last shred of the constitution by righteously sacrificing sports? Of course the DHS would no longer be able to play soccer – nor would we – and intelligent conversations may eventually take place. Even the rare manifestation of culture here and there may resultantly colorize our Hollywood-ravaged society, and the taboo-effect might even get people playing – rather than watching – sports in some underground communities.

Now if you’re confused, you’re probably just paying attention. Things are adding up in ways that defy numbers; special symbols are actually needed to express this strange system imposing itself before us. And to interpret them you’d need to abandon logic and common sense. But maybe that’s better reserved for things like quantum physics, and best not too-hastily implemented into the volatile structure of a still-young and learning society.

Is it possible that we need not even ban sports or civil liberties? Could we all not try a somewhat sensible approach? Considering that our lives and futures – including the futures of other generations – depend on it, it seems a perfectly reasonable proposal to apply coherent, viable, and healthy changes to our society, rather than esoteric, illogical, and recklessly tentative elements which – though experimental and new – have a certain record of failure throughout a well documented past?

We cannot be trademarked, and neither can our social conventions, minds, genes, souls, nor can our trajectories through space-time ever be. We are a dynamic and growing species which abhors the vacuum of crazed proprietors. Let us self define, and let us self defend.

Publix Protest , Tomatoes, and Neuromarketing

Sarasota Publix Protest, Tomatoes, and Neuromarketing

On the afternoon of Sunday, November 13, 2011, walking along the west side of South Tamiami Trail I noticed a large group of people gathered around the newly built Publix supermarket. I was aware that it was their grand opening day, and mildly resented it. After staring for a bit longer, I had also noticed something peculiarly artistic and un-Publix like. I crossed the street to inquire.

After talking with a few folks who mentioned farm-worker exploitation, I began to understand the premise. It was now apparent that this wasn’t sponsored by Publix.

It was now time to speak with the head honcho. I put in the request and was soon approached by a fellow wearing a shirt reading Coalition of Immokalee Workers (1). From what I was able to interpret, CIW has approximately five thousand members, and represents approximately 30 thousand workers. This was definitely not part of the Publix grand opening; it was a protest, and attendance was growing quickly.

It was explained to me that a farm-worker harvests roughly 2.2 tons of tomatoes over a 10-12 hour day in exchange for a rate of $0.50 per 32lbs harvested (approximately $68.75 daily). One of the goals of the event was a one-cent/per-pound increase in the price of tomatoes. The current rate is about $0.0156 per pound harvested, and would be raised to $0.0256. This would result in $0.81 per 32lbs, raising daily wages from $68.75 to $111.00, a significant difference. At 10 hour days, this would equal about $11.00 per hour. At 12-hour days it would be less, but much more than the unacceptable rate of $6.80 per hour.

I know from my own experience that farm work is tough. Days are often long under the sun, and the constant bending-over is rarely much fun. Not only is the labor of farm-work essential for the vast majority of humanity’s survival, it is one of the noblest forms of work, as well as one of the more difficult.

Exploitation is very often an issue with farm-workers. The math above is objective, and I’m leaving it at that. What I oppose is exploitation of any kind, and fully support those who seek refuge from it.

Also explained to me, was the refusal of Publix to disclose information on its tomato purchases in Florida. CIW has successfully established agreements with large corporations such as Taco Bell and Whole Foods, which have made their Florida purchases transparent. Why does Publix still refuse despite persistent requests?

Perhaps transparency would not benefit them any more in regard to tomatoes than it would their efforts in sophisticated behavioral-research surveillance. Publix is probably not the most successful supermarket in Florida because they love nurturing people. Quite possibly, the pennies that cannot be spared to raise wages for farm-workers, are spent on Consumer Behavior Research companies, like Envirosell(2), Brickstream, Point Grey Research, ShopperTrak, and Klever Marketing to name a few. (3)

While you might have thought those camera-domes were for public safety and theft prevention, there is a bit more to it than that. That something is Market Research – the intrusive variety. Knowing what people think, how they react, and what they want, is a serious advantage. From focusing in on those who linger too long before an item, to analyzing faces as they read product labels, your every action is monitored, recorded, saved into a database for further viewing, and eventually implemented into both product and policy. Mix shopper-loyalty cards into it all, and quite a dossier is formed. And where does that dossier go? ..And to whom?(pdf)

But apparently all this sophisticated market-research surveillance is failing to reveal people’s sentiments on slavery. Everyone likes a good buy, but most people appreciate fairness just as much. Of course, what is out of sight is often out of mind, and maybe that’s another problem. Where are the advertisements that attempt to raise awareness rather than consumption? I guess that’s what protests are for.

Certainly we’ve all seen food prices climbing. It would be interesting to see what the profit margins are in proportion to these increases. Do they increase by percentage, or are they fixed to previous amounts? Do supermarkets implement ethical considerations into price hikes, or do they see more room for profit?

Having stumbled upon the protest impromptu, at one point I began wondering what I was supporting, and whether I had enough information to justify my presence. I reminded myself that I was against exploitation, and that this should be sufficient. When I saw the founder of a local and highly successful organic farm amongst the crowd (over 200), I instantly felt at home. There with nothing to gain, and five fertile and thriving acres waiting at home, he remained for nearly the entire event.

Aside from curiosity and conviction, I admit my presence being partially motivated by a dislike for supermarkets in general. I know they have a purpose, but often find them grotesque in some ways. Food is an essential thing, and shopping for it should be simple. I resent being handled like a product when I shop, and have never voluntarily submitted myself to invasive research operations. Because I sometimes have no choice but to shop in places like Publix, I do not consider my use of their facilities an agreement to be studied. I also find that particular Publix less than appealing.

Just two days prior I had visited the new Publix where the protest took place. Both I, and the fellow accompanying me, were carrying bags, and looking slightly less than aristocratic. As we stepped off from the escalator on the second floor, we were greeted by a manager who asked if we needed help. Observing certain mannerisms, and ourselves exhibiting no overt symptoms of confusion, we both interpreted this as profiling, and didn’t much like it. After jesting with the manager about behavioral research and listening to him deny it altogether, we wandered off shortly after a squad of green men (Publix employees) swarmed to the scene. I had planned on purchasing a thing or two, but was overwhelmed by a strong clinical impression of the place and simply wanted to leave. One thing that stands out in such an environment is the pervasive advertisement. I wonder if they could not sacrifice some of this cognitive artillery for a more practical shopper-sphere. It’s fine to be informed that something is available in the event that we are interested, but we really don’t need persuasion. And if nothing else, such aggressive efforts and expenditures in marketing that which we are biologically prohibited from refusing, illustrates distinctly awkward priorities – especially when those toiling in the fields that fill the shelves are treated unfairly.

Finally, regarding nueromarketing, exploitation, and general ugliness, Publix is certainly not exclusive. Target Inc, Walmart, CVS Drugs, and many other companies share similar ethics; Though Publix is somewhat exclusive in their refusal to cooperate with CIW, and was indeed the focus of the protest.

Meat Glue – Transglutaminase & Franken Vittles

Read on Activist Post
“You can tell a lot about a fellow’s character by the way he eats jelly beans transglutaminase”

Welcome to Meat Glue, a covert and common additive to meat products. Meat Glue is an interesting – if not repulsive – creature. While not a registered product of Mary Shelley, royalties may be due. You might have never thought of resurrecting a hamburger back into steak, but somebody else has, and Activa (transglutaminase) is the enzymatic force of galvanism behind the ritual. Forming covalent bonds between scraps of food, they are so effectively fused together that even professional chefs and gastronomes are typically unable to distinguish veritable sausage from filet mignon once reanimated by this strange product.

In case you’re wondering if it’s kosher: If a hot dog can receive such an honor, I see no reason why meat-glue wouldn’t too.

As with most artificial food additives, it is likely that Activa has received no more safety testing than the average food substance – a trifle. Considering that Activa is a trademark held by the world’s largest manufacturer of MSG, it could easily be determined that health is not a top priority.

It wasn’t until the 1970s that MSG was removed from baby-food, and it was done so not through FDA authority, but voluntarily by baby-food manufacturers. With food-safety oversight comprising interwoven threads of the ragged and soiled undergarment of mega-corporations like Monsanto and key-agencies such as the FDA, it’s a staple unlikely frequenting the menu of any astute consumer. But is there even a choice?

Vegetarians might be laughing; but not so fast. Activa is not limited to meat products. And with USDA and culinary SWAT teams raiding local sources of independent and honest food production, austerity measures seem destined for our pantries too. Local food production is the answer, but it’s not without formidable opposition.

The many astonishing affronts to our wellbeing and liberties are not necessarily divided at the source. The implied reasoning behind the corrosions of our quality of life is almost all equally ludicrous and unnecessary. They reason that we need GMOs and Meat-Glue because we don’t have enough food, but burn their own surpluses behind our backs and destroy those who would happily eliminate the shortages they covet. From FAST to fast and furious, from Monsanto to mutant healthcare bills, a cacophony of corruption simply enforces what it cannot justify or deceive people into accepting. Children feed upon McWaste under duress, while organic farmers are terrorized by government and their corporate pillars. The sources of hassle might as well wear neon badges, as they are perceptibly merging into a single unified disease. Can’t we see?

Science and food are not intrinsic enemies. But science clandestinely, forcefully, or recklessly applied to food is an intrinsic enemy to decency itself. Activa is but one of many legitimate concerns regarding the integrity of our food; and there are doubtlessly more serious issues to confront as well. The imperative matter is that of transparency and choice, and our current government has proven a treacherous and pitiful ally in this bizarre struggle. We have a right to know what we eat, and no one has the right to intentionally deceive us. With help from the FDA, deception has been made the divine right of corporations. It has been left up to us to preserve our rights, even though it may entail litigation and assault. Well established and firmly planted institutions have declared us inept and unfit to maintain our own forms.

Unless you already have, please take thorough note of the FDA corruption-stain (imposed label) upon all expressly non-RBGH/RBST products, which compels businesses to basically state that there is no difference between treated and untreated animals. Now ask yourself: what is the purpose of injecting multi-hundred pound beasts with a substance that not only has a significant cost, but has no noticeable effect? Using Occam’s Razor, we can only deduce that such efforts are not made if no effect is achieved. It’s an example of a flagrant lie by the FDA, arrogantly displayed before our entire nation. And guess who helps fortify such lies, ….Fox. We’re surrounded by slime. Yes, everywhere you look or go, there may be slime of the lowest order, and an honest journalist suffocating beneath it.

Action and awareness are great solvents of slime, and I conclude by suggesting a furious dedication to local agriculture (including you). Grow sprouts in a mason jar. Grow “anything”, and share it with your neighbors. Consider raising hens. Make your own bread. Do something! Discuss these subjects with friends and strangers alike. Let us take control of at least our own forms, tables, and yards, and build our infrastructure from the ground up – rather than upside down with corporate scumtards at the top, and withering frail masses at the base. In one way we are facing a great monster. In another way, we are finally facing ourselves and our fellow people. Redirect their filthy greed and hostility into a blooming garden of wholesomeness. We can do it!

One issue with Meat-Glue concerns bacteria. When layers of meat are “glued” to other multiples layers, the natural seal of non frankenmeat is lost, and new openings for bacteria are created. This danger was expressed in the first video. Perhaps related, is the FDA’s approval of spraying viruses on meat to combat listeria.

Akin to the extreme absurdity of irradiation, this is yet another example of what the FDA is really about. Note that the FDA has never openly confronted the horrid conditions of slaughterhouses and processing facilities. They are quick to address a symptom of rot, but cower before the cause. The exceedingly cruel conditions of slaughterhouses alone, are sufficient to warrant a full-scale rejection of what the FDA piously protects. And that is merely one of many hideous aspects of industrial practices sponsored by our Food & Drug Administration (Federal Pimps).

FEMA’s Unprecedented Nationwide EAS Test

Read on Activist Post

On Wednesday, November 9, at 14:00 EST, FEMA will conduct an unprecedented nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System. At this specified time, simultaneously across the entire United States a 30 second test will occur on all radio, television, cable, satellite, and wireline video service systems, but the FEMA notice (pdf) states that landlines, mobile phones, and power grids will be excluded. Perhaps cellphones are excluded because all cellphones will soon have a built-in presidential alert system? Ask the FCC.

In honor of the words of FEMA regarding this test event: “We particularly request that you provide information to people who are deaf and hard of hearing, people with cognitive or intellectual disabilities or mental health concerns“, I ask that you please read on. The Activist community has indeed been diagnosed with cognitive and intellectual disorders, as explained in this Corbett Report radio show, where leading “scientific” American, Michael Shermer, has summarized the cognitive defect of alternative research, or “conspiracy think”. FEMA (DHS) specifically wants us to be fully informed of this test.

Beyond FEMA, an agency of the Department of Homeland Security, NOAA and the FCC will also be involved in this test. Perhaps NOAA wants to protect us in the unfortunate event that one of their weather modification (pdf) operations goes berserk? That pdf is a legal requirement compelling NOAA to notify the Department of Commerce before engaging in acts of weather modification. …But, but, weather modification, that’s conspiracy stuff! (pdf)

Though this operation is expressly open and of a seemingly practical purpose, it comes at a time when the DHS has not only accumulated quite a dubious history of conduct, but also faces public scrutiny for such things as Fast and Furious, as well as ridicule for attempts to spread unwarranted fear amongst civilians through strange propaganda videos, authoritarian street-lights, and other questionable efforts.

The value claimed by FEMA of this coming test is a more “effective and well-tested” emergency alert/warning system in the event of a national emergency. Those remembering Katrina might be asking: Why rush to make a bigger mess out of an already terrible catastrophe? Certainly if we are to base our confidence on past performance and current ambitions, it should require no more than a twitch from FEMA (or the DHS) to start waves of dignified public skepticism (mental illness).

After all, the DHS has been exceedingly hostile to the FOIA and transparency, has initiated the NGI/IAFAS (DHS/FBI) super-database to contain biometric dossiers on nearly 1/3 of the America population, has engaged in abetting narco-terrorism, has used backscatter vans on the public, and aspires to implement pre-crime technology via FAST. They have also criminalized Ron Paul supporters, and a host of other things clearly contrary to the betterment of our society. The DHS shrugs off criminal involvement with narco-terrorists while it abuses the DMCA to take down websites for merely linking to other websites it has presumed disadvantageous to Hollywood; and we’re supposed to give them the benefit of the doubt? …Stockholm Syndrome?

Surely such a test is not entirely exempt from a now well-established and disturbing trend – one of deception, subterfuge, and pilfering of tax dollars in the name of protecting us from a hokey and extremely expensive theater of invisible bogeymen hellbent on leaving volatile backpacks everywhere and infiltrating our hotels and shopping centers to disrupt our economy. The test is likely in itself nothing to be particularly concerned about; however, it is unprecedented, as well as orchestrated by those consistently exhibiting behaviors which demand serious attention. And the ubiquitous infestation of nearly all communication/media infrastructures by these agencies easily suggests such may eventually lead to a homogenized, universally DHS-style standard for anything with a magnetic field, or mind.

It is no secret that the DHS has been involved in crime. It would be nice if we could simply leave such attention to the drones and UAVs now circling the American public, but it might be a bit naive considering the owners. One might also think their actions would be caught on CCTV, or their communications intercepted by the pervasive law enforcement infrastructures used to do the same to us (without probable cause or suspicion). …One might think. Yet in the rare situation that evidence actually exists, it is typically either destroyed or classified, leaving transparency up to vicious journalists and whistle-blowers.

So at this time, when one of the most threatening bills (SOPA, pdf) in the history of the internet is being proposed by those not far from the very agencies too eager to enforce it (DHS, etc.), I urge not only suspicion, but also action. It is absolutely paramount that you first exert effort to halt SOPA, which you can do here: at the “Act Now” link below the EFF article. If you value the website you’re reading this article on, or the internet itself, please DON”T hesitate. Furthermore, we must place as much scrutiny as possible on those agencies operating in secrecy while severely taxing both our liberties and pockets with superfluous misrepresentation; not hysterical madness, but literally no significant action of theirs should escape public awareness and dialog. They prod into every facet of our lives with such slop as Vengeful Librarians, to perusing our digital akashic like a morning newspaper while denying our FOIAs. They want to keep us informed of “national emergencies” while censoring our only dependable source of preventing one. If the time has come when they cannot more than stand completely still without being swarmed by seething citizens, then they left us no choice. Inquire at will!

And please, pretty please, stop SOPA!

Fruitville Chemical Incident – Blind Update

On Sunday, October 30, passing by 2420 Fruitville Rd, I observed a Fire Truck and several law enforcement agents at the scene below.

By the time I was able to return (approximately 30 minutes), they had left the scene. As apparent in these images, some form of fire had occurred. Whether it was controlled or accidental is unknown. An inquiry to the Sarasota Fire Department should suffice for clarification. I am simply updating observations made on that day, and have included several images below. Because multiple houses seemed to have at some time recently been subject to fire, I presume the burnings were controlled.

Below are several images not included in the first post. Walking to the backyards of the adjacent houses where the drums were placed, I had noticed signs of habitation of an otherwise “uninhabited” residence. On the 4×4 outer post supporting the porch can be seen what seems a camera hanging. I photographed this the day after the incident.

Another angle of view:

I have no idea what – if anything – this implies, but since the scene above has likely been deleted by fire, I figured it reasonable enough to document. For all I know, the mainstream media has thoroughly explained the situation far more than I. In that case, please pardon my attempt to provide my fragments of information.

I still find it highly interesting that Rick Scott placed a gag-order on the incident. Neither currently or previously have I looked further into this strange factor, but perhaps you will. Certainly there is no shortage of corruption in Sarasota, regardless of whether this particular situation bears any examples of it or not. The pace and breadth of local media and authorities had – at least originally – left unanswered questions. Maybe I have filled in a gap or two for at least interest’s sake.

Feedback or new information is welcome.

Fruitville Chemical Incident – Sarasota

On Monday of October 17th, eastbound Fruitville roads were closed between Lime and Jefferson due to what has been reported as a “chemical spill”.

Although an order from Governor Rick Scott prohibited all personnel involved from answering any questions, several aspects may still be deduced. Rather than “spill”, it was intentional dumping.

Reports have surfaced that an individual was being payed to dispose of the waste behind a house at 2420 Fruitville Rd, but little more is known on that.

What’s a Warm Zone?

On Monday, the day of the incident, inquiring neighbors were informed that soil samples had been taken and a full week would be required before releasing the results. Reasons for this expressed duration are also unknown. Having heard reports that the incident was the most significant of its kind in 15 years throughout Sarasota, current information seems a bit meager.

The photograph below shows one of several drums at the scene on which can be read “Waste Paint Related Material”.

Such a description would certainly match the sickly-sweet odor noticed while at the scene. But if it is only “paint related”, then why the reluctance to directly inform the public of all the details? Some local residents had considered the possibility of a “meth lab’, but the fact that the case has been placed under the Fire Department strongly suggests no drugs were involved, and the paint-like nauseating scent does too. With nearby residents having to endure the ordeal, I hope more information will promptly be made available.

For anyone seeking more information on the matter, the Fire Department seems the likeliest source at this time. Although an independent soil sample has been submitted, I can neither predict that it contains anything of value, nor can I say when the results will be tested, if ever.

Dr. David Kelly – Corbett Digs Deeper

When I started EIA early this year, my goal was to remain reasonably original, and post only that which I could accentuate in some way. Due to a new schedule and various other nuisances I am making the occasional exception. The particular exception below is exceptional, and is a further extension of James Corbett’s research into the murder of Dr. David Kelly. For anyone not yet familiar with this UN weapons inspector, an understanding of the situation is absolutely critical for any sane comprehension of current affairs and the dangerous elements honest and noble people face. Please take a moment to look into something that will utterly shock you into reality. Visit the link below to watch and listen to the latest Corbett Report on Dr. David Kelly. You’ll have no regrets, but you won’t like what you find either.
