Every time I reread the Hunger Games trilogy I become more furious about the movie representation. These books were about an indigenous woman with a brain injury in book 3 living in poverty overthrowing a corrupt white government. And Peeta was disabled and physically abused as a child and they both suffered from mental health problems and the parallel between the Capitol and the ruling rich was so very transparent. These books were about the revolution of the most oppressed taking over the extravagance and elitism and decadence of the ruling class while citizens starved. These books were a parallel to our current social dynamics, they were a call to arms.

His character development throughout the series is brilliant bc it illuminates not only how strongly popular opinion can impact perception but also how Katniss herself is flawed in the way of immediate judgment and meeting Finnick helps her realize and work on fixing that flaw. Once written off as self-absorbed Finnick proves himself to be the most selfless character in the series and the way Suzanne Collins wrote his character has honestly changed the way I view people and stopped me from making premature assumptions multiple times. Like how the Hunger games will probably become a classic, here are three stacks of classics or almost classics in the colors of the hg books.
Letting the people live through fantasy and the media when really they are just big brother sitting behind the curtain waiting for America to fall. Denver is where the Capitol is in Panem Hunger Games Nation which is said to have been held to the end of the recent generations destruction in the book. Denver is also playing host to an Airport with massively large and expansive underground tunnels 85 square miles to be exact , which, mysteriously do not allow employees to discuss what goes on in these tunnels.
Take a look at how the series starts and ends. The first scene is Katniss going to hunt with Gale and having a picnic in the meadow. The last scene is Katniss and Peeta watching their children play in the meadow.
